Stuff...

News Stuff...

We snubbed the annual Oyster Run in Anacortes last weekend. Basically, we had a better deal; a double dining experience with boated jaunts across, down, and around inlets and islets; the wind in our faces and the sun on our backs regardless of direction and with accompaniment of great wine and especially great friends. What a hoot.

Lunch at Christopher's in Coupeville on Whidbey Island was wonderful with one side note... Get a bloody decent wine list!!! (Sorry). Dinner at our friend's house on the beach while watching the seals bob for munchies and a heron perched on their anchored boat doing the "dirty bird" thing with the sunset in the background slowly softening into the Sound was amazing. Other than the rumblings of piston-ed thunder constantly emanating from the hills and valleys, the Oyster Run was as if it were somewhere in the next galaxy.

It's nice every once-in-awhile amongst the hectic and maniacal to be reminded of why we really live here.

Guess What Time it is...

First Wednesday of the Month Wine Walk.

Libation Station, Il Granaio, and Althea's are still the exuberant participants.

Wines in question to be spontaneously announced 5 minutes prior to their opening.

When: Wednesday, Oct 4th 5pm-8pm

Where: Here

Musically speaking... Sadly yet gladly, and with great appreciation for all who have contributed to this experiment, we are discontinuing the musical moments on Friday night starting Friday October 6th. We are too constrained within the boundaries (both environmental and mental) of the Granary and are looking for an abode that will offer a wider potential for those involved to showcase their talents and ours. So we are sad to briefly pause while at the same time glad we can put our energies into finding that special place with apropos space. Soooon.

Lesla Epting and Joe Johnston who first started playing and singing in our tasting room will appropriately finish as the last to perform in the current Libation Station location.

When: Friday, Sept 29th 6pm-?

Where: Here

Visually Speaking... Julie Higgins and Ann McCool paintings and prints are available through September. Wall space is at a premium but anyone that knows of another artist or wishes to exhibit your own art; we are welcoming any and all who has work to hang.
